Gay Key West

Key West is one of the top gay destinations, and really caters to the LGBT community. Unlike other gay hotspots like Fort Lauderdale and Palm Springs that aren’t warm year round, Key West is balmy every season. San Francisco Drag King Contest

Alright, August 15 this year, it’s the 14th Annual San Francisco Drag King Contest (hosted by DragStrip Productions). This year the theme is “Surf-Saga,” and takes place at DNA Lounge. The lineup is the 2008 Solo King winner Papa Don Preach, the reigning 2008 troup Fella-Fem, and special guests Arty Fishal, Dee Dee Luxe, and the Psychobilly Punk Band. Continue Reading »

Michigan Womyn’s Festival 2009

Every year, thousands of women come together for an awesome celebration of music and culture. Of course, I’m talking about the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival (aka MichFest). This year, the Michigan Womyn’s Festival is from August 7-12. There will be 40 performances, a film fest, workshops, parties, dances, and an artisan and craft show planned for this year’s MichFest.
