Michigan Womyn’s Festival 2009

Every year, thousands of women come together for an awesome celebration of music and culture. Of course, I’m talking about the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival (aka MichFest). This year, the Michigan Womyn’s Festival is from August 7-12. There will be 40 performances, a film fest, workshops, parties, dances, and an artisan and craft show planned for this year’s MichFest. The always hilarious Elvira Kurt is the emcee.
The energy at this festival is amazing, and there are lots of woodland parties, costumes, and performance art. Plus, it takes place in the lush woods of Michigan, which is inspiring in itself.
